Feynman invited four families of 16 people to visit LCS this weekend. For the very small ones, there was nothing better than simply playing on the sand; for the girls and the mothers, resting on the rings seemed relaxing enough; while for the young and adventurous, kayak surfing and body boarding on the big big waves was so much exciting - there are always something for everyone!

It was not Bill's first kayaking with us. They've joined our kayak exploration and also been to Cha Kwo Chau as well as Pui O with us, and then they came again the fourth time to conquer Shui Hou, our ever-famous mussel catching spot. The three and a half hours' trip would not defeat the group of strong kayakers, and they brought back with loads of fat mussels as their rewards!

What's better than escaping your office on a sunny Saturday? The Sunlight team arrived at LCS today to enjoy a fun-filled company outing. Warming up with a kayak exploration trip, the team mates got to know each other better, and were prepared to get involved in all kinds of sports or just relax in the warm sea, before treating themselves with a sumptuous BBQ feast in the evening.

July has arrived! Looking forward to a beautiful summer!

"There's always sunshine in your heart when you're with your loved ones" - both the big ones and the small ones in the Mak family enjoyed an unforgettable kayaking experience despite the pouring rain!

Alice and her friends' first kayaking experience were a mixture of hardship and fun. The wind and the waves made paddling not as easy as the group thought. Some friends got a bit of sea sick, but all in all it was an enjoyable experience to be in the water!

Caca joined her friends to go midnight hiking to Lantau Peak. The group arrived at LCS early next morning, resting a bit on the beach, and enjoyed a rewarding BBQ in the afternoon. Meanwhile, June and her friends returned to LCS again for a lot of watersports and camping fun.

And good to see Ah Chiu and his mates back to the beach in summer and practiced windsurfing again, as well as a group of keen kayakers equipping themselves for their upcoming race!

A group of young girls from HKU treated themselves with a relaxing break after all the hard work and stress they have faced during the year-end examinations.

The Charreaus, the Rebillats, the Consignys and the Kerrs families enjoyed their visit to LCS despite the rain! Resting and chit-chatting on the sunchairs, enjoying a bit of light waves on the paddle boards and kayaks, playing TV games (very atypical on the beachside LOL!), they had their own ways to enjoy their holidays!

Rachel invited a few families to LCS for a weekend getaway. They paddled, enjoyed BBQ, gathered around the bonfire, or simply did nothing but just relaxed, while the kids could play safely here - it was one kind of perfect getaway from the hard work during the week!

Throughout the whole April the weather has been gloomy, and somehow we even wondered when summer would come, and when we would see the good weather again. The good sunshine did bring us hope at the start of May, and we are looking forward to a bright new season!

This Easter holiday we had different groups of guests coming to enjoy their holidays in different ways.

Ms Hung invited her friends here for an afternoon BBQ; Matthew brought with his 1-year-old girl, together with his friends, to spend a relaxing weekend. Eva came camping with her friends and enjoyed some watersports; while Meg, Tara and friends enjoyed BBQing and bonfire during their camp stay here!

Alan organized an outing with his neighbours during this Chung Yeung Festival. The group of twenty enjoyed camping and making hotpot at night. The next day they started their morning exercise by participating in our kayak exploration. The most interesting part had to be when they were asked to jump into the water and get back to the kayak all by themselves - getting wet was definitely enjoyable!

It was the Chung Yeung Festival in Hong Kong and a lot of people came and spent their long weekend here at LCS. Comme and her family and friends simply enjoyed a kayak exploration and it was great to see her two girls enjoying the paddling much!

Jeff and his friends came to LCS for a fun kayak exploration. After listening on the instructor's explanation, the group of ten swarmed into the sea and began their very first kayak experience. At the end of the day, some were exhausted, some couldn't stop, but all in all, it was one kayak journey that everyone enjoyed.

Our heart was lightened when we saw the beautiful weather. Once again it was a busy weekend with many people returned for windsurf practice. Glad to meet Benjamin and the team who camped at our place and enjoyed kayaking a lot!

What a surprise to meet Hermia again, as I couldn't recognize her name until I saw her, who used to visit LCS during our early years with some other friends. Today she was the organizer of the kayaking trip to Shui Hou, which the team paddled hard, and of course were very satifised of their rewards!

We were so happy to meet Wing and her friends. The friendly bunch enjoyed kayaking in the afternoon, prepared their hot pot dinner in the evening with much fun; the next day they relaxed on the beach, and took a lot of photos before they left. By the way, I like their "Rilakkuma" floating aid so much!

Waterchingpear came to LCS for a kayak adventure with her friends, and intended to give a birthday surprise to one of her friends. They came back from the 3-hour tour, loaded their kayaks with clams and a lot of laughter; and enjoyed the birthday cake happily afterwards.

I used to hike when I was small, and my instructor told me about the difference between expedition and exploration, which "expedition" is "a journey with a purpose", and "exploration" - the vice versa. Our kayak trip to Shui Hou is definitely one of the most interesting explorations, especially when you saw the smiles on the faces of Jim and his friends, after they returned from the trip with a lot of clams!

Johnny and his friends arrived on the 25th. They planned to kayak to Shui Hau to catch some clams and mussels. They started their journey in the afternoon, and completed their journey just before sunset exhaustedly, bringing back lots of clam as their rewards. I believe they have experienced lots with their friends during this trip, and the journey will become one of their wonderful memories that they will treasure together.

The kayak tour was almost called off due to the uncertain weather these days. Nonetheless, nothing is impossible! Funni and her friends today conquered Cha Kwo Chau once again!

Kei san and his friends are first time paddlers. Today, with a bit of warm up exercise, they were already ready to challenge themselves in this new sport. After that, what could be better than treating themselves a tasty BBQ lunch, and enjoy some surfing in the afternoon!

Holly and her friends came to LCS this afternoon. They windsurfed, kayaked, had some interesting games, and enjoyed a cozy BBQ get-together until dark!

Summer's back! There are lots of reasons to come to the beach again! Some came for a bit of action, some enjoyed a bit of relaxation; some came back for gastronomic satisfactions, while some would like to meet new friends!

Since September, we have attempted to organize a kayak tour to the "Turtle Island", but each time we needed to change our plans because of storm warning, strong wind or big waves. Today, the group of twelve could finally join the tour and visit this beautiful island once again.

Michelle and her friends planned to conquer the "Turtle Island" this weekend, however the sudden storm warning changed their plans. Despite that, they still enjoyed their tour to the nearby beaches.

August is hot, and it is a good time for surfing, kayaking, partying, and enjoying the beach!

Eman and her friends joined our kayak tour this Sunday. It was another rainy day, but the unfavorable weather was no barrier to kayaking lovers - quite the contrary, the added sense of adventure and challenge increased their enjoyment. The fun-loving paddlers finally had made it to Upper Cheung Sha before they returned to LCS, and completed their day with a rewarding BBQ.

Seeing their smiling faces, you could tell they had a good time. It matters not the weather, but really the atmosphere that brightened the day.

Debbie and John enjoyed the challenge as well as satisfaction from our kayak adventure, and they were back again on a sunny Sunday - with a bunch of friends. It was a long-awaited gathering after many rainy days. The group of nine gathered on the beach for warm up, familiarizing themselves with basic rowing actions, and then set out on 6 kayaks for another beach in Shui Hou - definitely not as hard or tiring as you think!

It is simply hard to resist the temptation of the succulent suckling pig! Today, Stanley came with his friends for another "G-I-Y" again!!

Meanwhile, Bill and his friends, who have previously joined our kayak exploration tour as well as our Cha Kwo Chau kayak adventure, also returned for another kayak expedition - exploring the Pui O River!

Never say you're too old to get into watersports! Look at Hau's mom, an 81-year-old granny, who tried out her first kayak cruising and enjoyed herself a lot with her family! Who said it's impossible?

Frankie and group are no novices to paddling, and they've almost explored much of the South Lantau; while Queenie and her friend are kayak newbies. Today they set off a journey to Pui O, and appreciated much of the tranquil Pui O river, the serene buffalos, and the beautiful landscapes around.

Bill and his friends joined our Kayak Exploration one month ago, and found that it was in fact no that difficult to paddle. This week this came again for another challenge again - conquering Cha Kwo Chau aka the "Turtle Island". They wouldn't imagine they could do it, but hey, they did it!

Bill and friends came to LCS this weekend for a fun-filled kayak exploration. Not many of them tried kayaking before, but in fact it was not difficult at all. Having a lot of fun, they came back and enjoyed a sumptuous BBQ lunch.

It was raining, but who cares? What a good time for surfing, skim-boarding, body-boarding, kayak surfing, and of course, making new friends!

Frankie & Friends wished to have some mussel catching today, but the sea condition was just too rough. They finally paddled to Pui O and Mong Tung Wan. It was a five-hour trip and the group was delighted to see more of Lantau in this journey.

25 people joined our kayak adventure tour to Cha Kwo Chau today. However the weather has been uncertain and the sea was quite rocky. At the end we made a detour to Pui O so that the group could stay around the coast which was safer, and enjoyed a fun-filled journey!

Emma joined our Shui Hou Mussel Catching Tour with her friends earlier in July and found it so interesting. She would like to share her experience with other friends. So today, the 12-people group went on the adventure again. No one feared the hardship. Everyone paddled hard despite the easterly breeze and of course, was rewarded with a good catch back.

The second Mussel Catching Tour came late this year because of the unstable weather condition. Today the group got the biggest catch - with many palm-size mussels and tons of giant clams! "It is difficult, but it is rewarding!"

There are 24 solar terms in the Lunar calendar, and this July 23 was regarded as "Great Heat". It was indeed a very hot day and Cheung Sha has never been so busy before.

The beach has been quiet because of the non-stop raining and pouring these two weeks as well as the terrible red rainstorm. Finally, the rain stopped and a kayak trip to Pui O was arranged this weekend. It took about 3 hours and the kayakers not only could visit the tranquil Pui O River, they could also relax and have a drink at the beach before heading back.

We had a group of 22 (!) people joining our kayak tour to Cha Kwo Chau. Everyone followed our instructor to do some warm up exercises and training on how to paddle before they set off. While most of them in the group were experienced water fans, they didn't take long before they arrived at the island; and enjoyed very much on doing some rock hopping plus seeing the popular "fist" rock.

We got our first most kayak tour in this year today. The weather was still cold, but the water was quite warm though. Our destination was to Shui Hou - picking some mussels. It was one of our most interesting tours here coz the group not only could have some kind of adventures, they could sort of treat themselves a feast - the mussels! The group set off at about two, coz we wanted to catch the low tide period. As it was still the beginning of the season, the mussels were not so big, but the group could manage to get some back. Bon Appetit!

It was the Easter holiday, and it was unpredictably COLD! The temperature dropped down 10 degrees to 13 degrees because of the sudden cold front from the North. Although it was cold, the windsurfers had some good fun because the North wind blowing down from the Lantau and Sunset Peak provided a perfect condition for them. They generally used sails with size from 5.0m to 6.0m on April 13, from 6.0m to 8.0m on April 14; and on April 15, we even tried to use a 3.7m in the morning - which was crazy!
